A Green and Pleasant Land

Leaving Birmingham Airport - we DO live in a beautiful land, especially compared with the dry, brown Spanish countryside, seen from the air.

Have to admit, though, that there is something to be said for Spanish food - I had tortilla, gazpacho, gorgeous bread, meatballs in an almond sauce washed down with a beer, and good coffee - all for 8.50 euros. Not to mention, bougainvillea round a white doorway, and jumping in a pool at 8pm.
