Play Ball

One of Betsy's favourite pictures of the tournament. That's her in the armour, running back to the plate, after a little team-talk with her pitcher, Marlia. Together the Catcher and the Pitcher are called 'The Battery'.

Betsy had a good tournament. She's batted, hit, got a run, played in the in-field, the outfield and as short stop. She got a bat on the foot, a ball on the shin and came off the last game with her finger in a splint. She's sung, danced and cheered in the dug out, but best of all, I've been able to hear her loud laugh hooting across the grounds every day. She's had a blast.
