These swans had enlisted the help of a duck to search for something in the harbour.
We had lunch at the c'van and then went to the coast. BIG mistake! We must try to be "early birds" in future. After two hugely unsuccessful attempts to park two cars we headed for Christchurch where we walked through a beautiful park to the harbour. A visit to the play area and time spent watching the swans and boats before having some refreshments in the town. Grandma had set her sights on a cream tea at Burley but we were too late when we arrived late in the afternoon. Never mind, there is always another day! Daddy is going to cook a big breakfast tomorrow (if he gets up in time) and we are going out for the whole day!
