An uncommon blue

Walking in 28C heat in a flower-strewn Dordogne valley, a Common Blue lighted on Michaela's hand and stayed long enough for this shot. No less than 23 species of butterflies - from the graceful Scarce Swallowtail to the stunning Clouded Yellow - were spotted floating over the grasslands.
