If they could stay this small, sweet and funny for a bit longer.

Chickpea is getting more independent. She can put herself to bed after a story and some solo play time most nights and if I come in for a minute to get something she makes it very clear I am not invited. It's sweet and sad at the same time. There are these little play windows where she is acting things out and learning and growing and they are hers and only hers. It's the beginning of letting go.

Today was a bit more low key, good to have a break as we've had a busy holiday so far! We did go out for a meal with my grandparents, then we had a walk to the park so it was a lovely end to the evening.
