Xia
That's my best guess as to how to spell her name anyway!
Had a great trek that day as the weather was perfect, no rain for once. Xia is from the Black H'mong tribe. They use indigo which they grow to dye their clothes and are a Catholic tribe.
Several ladies helped us down some of the more treacherous slopes. I naively thought that they were just heading back to their village anyway but as soon as we arrived they tried to sell us things. I was a bit fed up by the end of Vietnam as being constantly seen as an ATM. I'm happy that I'm contributing to the local economy over here but the aggressive sales tactics really grate on me. The irony is that if I was ever left alone for just a couple of minutes to browse then I probably would've bought a lot more.
So I left Vietnam happy to be moving on to somewhere new.
