Light & colour before sunrise New Brighton Pier NZ

some of us in the Nature Photography club were going to go to the pier at the weekend, when the sun would be right in line with the pier as it came up. Terrible weather put paid to that idea, but at 6 30 this morning it looked hopeful, so off I went. The sun wasn't right in line with the pier, but still a great morning for colours etc, though very cold and windy.

This is just before the actual sunrise, had trouble choosing which image to go with as you always do when you make a special effort. To see the sequence as the sun came up click here.
