Road Construction

It has often been said that there are really only two seasons here - Construction and Winter! From spring breakup to the heavy winter snowfalls, the road construction crews put in long hours. Here they are finishing up a stretch of road, some of it being rough road repair, and some road expansion for the new development you can see in the background. Today the rough road was smooth with fresh new pavement and the line-painting crews were busy.

Speaking of seasons, it was with a little sadness that I noticed a few trees starting to turn color, the first sign of autumn. Today was our son's 40th birthday and we celebrated outdoors. As the evening wore on we needed our jackets! Another indication that summer is coming to an end.

I do love each season with it's unique beauty, though I have to say I'm not a fan of cold weather. So for now, I'll ignore the signs of winter approaching and continue to enjoy the warm, sunny weather...
