The symbolic monument of the town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders! Named Ken - associated with the local slang language - the horse is a constant reminder to the townsfolk of the young lads who risked their lives to defeat the English at Hornshole in 1514 and ride back into Hawick bearing the English flag!
