Black Arches
How about this then? This beauty came to a light trap at Roudsea Wood NNR and is a first record for Cumbria. It is found on the Isle of Man and in the midlands south wards and so may well be another sign of the movement of species due to climate change.
The amazing antennae are found in the males and contain sensors to detect females! Apparently this is necessary because the males fly at night and the females by day, I guess they need their beauty sleep!
