Bologna - Day 2

Mrs DP's birthday. Into the historical centre of Bologna for a mooch around, although the heat meant we had to take it slow and of course stop often for ice cream and rest. Beautiful buildings and architecture everywhere we looked - an untouristy gem.

Lunch at Tamburini's in the heart of the old town - fantastic deli that served platters of cold meats, sat at barrels outside. Afternoon spent at MAMBO, the modern art gallery, which was great if only for the air conditioning...

Dinner at a delightful little trattoria - bolognese for Mrs DP, naturellement!
