Mariners Telescope

I found this old brass telescope in a skip at work many years ago. It was in a very sorry state, and needed a makeover. I stripped it to pieces ,then cleaned and polished it. The black section was the most time consuming as it is bound with a waxed cord, and it seemed to take forever to wind it on.
The telescope still works, but is not as good as a modern day binoculars.
