Someone's Following Me
This flippin' squirrel gave me such a run around today. I don't even like squirrels and don't find them at all endearing when they tamely eat nuts from the hands of humans, so have no idea what possessed me to snap him.
Once I had started though, I got kind of engrossed and I got the distinct impression he was teasing me; I wasn't going to be defeated by vermin so I pursued him. He would run a bit, stop, wait for me to get the shot I wanted lined up and then just as I was ready to snap, he darted, only a few centimetres but enough to spoil my shot.....and he kept on looking over his shoulder as if to make sure I was following!
When I finally gave up and straightened my back in frustrated defeat, I realised I was stood in the middle of a 'Please keep off the grass' area with a wedding party all giggling at me and a man and his wife trying to help me by clapping the squirrel towards me - it was SO embarrassing. I just got totally lost in a blip moment. I guess he had the last laugh so I felt I owed him this one!
