My Life
I sit here in thought,
Of the years of my life.
And I think...is there glory,
To bear up my strife?
I ponder my breath,
Will it add up in strength.
And give me sufficient,
To live out the length.
Of all the days to come,
No one will be blotted.
With joy to be made full,
And more moments allotted.
For a touch of desire,
That waits to be done.
A thing un-attended,
And now...must be won.
For life is a moment,
Then the journey is on.
I have now my measure,
And then...I am gone.
