Ready to Race

A huge crowd at Cardrona for the Winter Games. These guys (woman generally have more sense) were lined up for the jumps, rails, and other crazy obstacles. Watched some of the Half Pipe competition. These guys are amazing - they leap from the lip of the half pipe say 3 or 4 metres, do 1040 degrees rotation turns, at the same time doing forward or backward somersaults. Landing on the steep side slope usually means a soft landing. Saw a couple land hard on the edge but they all got up and skied off.
Excellent snow in the morning with a skiff of new snow and no queues as most people were tied up with competitions. Love skiing the new soft snow and making my own tracks.
