Discussing politics in the 1930’s!!

Sunny day out in Norfolk!

B was due to do a workshop in Norwich in the evening, so we made a day of it and visited Blickling Hall, a National Trust property. We’ve been before, but like most of these places they stand up to repeated visits to take very thing in!!!

They have costumed interpretation groups, mostly on a Wednesday, and we had the opportunity to see and hear “Lady Astor” and “Philip, the last Lord Lothian” discussing the political situation in the late 1930’s. Interesting… made me read the book about Blickling Hall which we bought on our previous visit.

Time to eat, visit the gardens, the RAF Oulton Museum, the Art and Craft exhibitions, before heading back in to Norwich to the City Academy Sports facility for B to work. I spent 3 hrs sitting on a comfy red leather sofa, reading and sorting out notes from our recent holiday.
