Music to my ears

I had a meeting in Rose Street today which is a great location for sampling some of the Edinburgh Festival atmosphere.

I took the train in to avoid any hassle with traffic.

After my meeting this pipe band started marching along Rose Street. The bag pipes is without a doubt the finest sounding instrument in the world and gives me goosebumps every time I hear them.

This band were from Ottawa Canada and were giving out Canadian flags and pin badges. I got a badge for L. She will be very excited when I see her.

I think I'll take L in to the festival on Saturday now that my work commitments have been cancelled.
