Another Avon
Following on from yesterday's ivy, here is another example of its stranglehold around a tree trunk.
We went to Plymouth today via the shortest and prettiest route, and I leapt out here (near the village of Diptford) to take a photo of the tautological River Avon. No, not that one. Another Avon. There's a lot of them about, which is unsurprising as the word 'avon' means 'river'.
So, back home and blipping in haste as I'm out the door again in a few minutes to head off to dance in a line. (Think we'll be dancing slowish ones tonight, it's so warm.)
