Repair

Last night unit 4 tripped because a fault occurred in the excitatation cirquit.
Next step caused the main cirquit breaker at the substation to open.
So every pump which was not connected to the emergency switchboard switched off and the safety valves on the low pressure turbine (a plate made of a thin lead layer) broke because we lost the vacuum in the condenser and the plate has to be replaced.
Here the casing with the plate (bursting disc?) has been hoisted off the turbine.
Bas (from our company) and two from a contracted firm are making preparations to replace the lead plate.
