Who pays the Ferryman?

After a warm day delivering , i had a drive over to the Headland . This is the old ferry landing steps where hundreds of workers used to be ferried from old hartlepool to West Hartlepool (when they were two seperate towns) to work in the shipyards. the boats were only small rowboats so it must have been a tough job.
