Today our road trip took us up to Manchester neither my husband or I have been before but we have annual Merlin passes so thought it would be an idea to take in the Legoland Discovery Centre which is located within the Trafford Centre in Manchester.
My blip is of the parking sign near where we parked, I took this as the Trafford Centre is soooooo massive and has millions (maybe a slight exaggeration!) of parking spaces that I feared we may never find our car again.
Discovery centre was ok, children enjoyed it but I would imagine you would be disappointed if you paid full price to get in. We also took in the Sealife centre as it was next door and also included on our Merlin Passes. This again was average considering we have been to a few this is probably the smallest we have been to, although it was a fun activity.
After a bite to eat in a wonderful yummy cafe we headed for the shops. Now I have been lucky enough to go to malls in America and France and London but I can honestly say none of them are themed as thoughtfully and well as the Trafford Centre. There is a serious amount of shops, bars , restaurants, laser quest and a great miniature golf at which my husband won another round (we gave it to a little boy who was far more likely to be able to use it than us). After a lovely dinner at the exchange we all tried not to fall asleep and after a few wrong turns found our hotel for the night - all exhausted it shouldn't take long to drop off tonight.
The Peak District beckons tomorrow and then the in laws and the end of our journey. Very sad have really enjoyed our travels.
