Aujourd'hui direction Pushkar!

Le route étant plutôt longue d'Agra (9 heures environ), nous nous sommes arrêtés en chemin dans la ville de Fatephur Sikri.

Today let's go to Pushkar!

The road being pretty long from Agra (about 9 hours driving), we stopped on the way in the town of Fatephur Sikri. 

Au 17eme siècle, l'empereur demanda au sufi comment avoir un fils. Celui-ci lui répondit qu'il aurait 3 fils s'il déménageai sa capitale d'Agra à Fatephur. Ce qu'il fit et eu 3 fils. Mais la ville étant loin du fleuve,  y vivre était devenu trop compliqué pour toute la cour, le emperor retourna donc à Agra  en laissant la ville à l'abandon. Pour remercier le sufi, il construit un grand mausolée avec la plus grande porte de l'Inde.

In the 17th century, the emperor asked the sufi how to get a son. He told him that he would have 3 sons if he moved the capital to Fatephur.  He did so and got 3 sons. But the town was far from the river, living there became to complicated,  so the emperor went back to Agra, he left the city falter. To thank the sufi, he built him a large mausoleum with the biggest gate of all India.

Nous avons été un peu déçu car il y avait beaucoup de monde et les vendeurs étaient très insistants. De plus, il y avait une fête religieuse à ce moment là et le mausolée était inaccessible tant il y avait de monde.

We were a bit disappointed because there were a lot of people and the sellers were really pushy. Moreover, there was a religious festival at the time and it was impossible to access to the mausoleum because of the crowd.

Puis, après le déjeuner nous avons voulu nous arrêter dans une ville fantôme, Bankhar, qui, selon les gens du restaurant, était à 10 km de la route. Finalement, c'était 40 km sur une route en terre pleine de boue! Mais l'endroit était vraiment magnifique peuplé de singes. On se serait cru dans Indiana Jones !

Then, after lunch, we ask the driver to stop by in a ghost city, Bankhar, which was, according to the people of the restaurant, 10 km away from the road. Finally,  it was 40 km of a muddy road ! But the place was really beautiful inhabited by monkeys. We thought we were in an Indiana Jones movie!

Puis cinq heures de route et arrivée dans notre hôtel de Pushkar, un peu éloigné mais vraiment très joli !

Then five hours of driving and we reached our hotel, a bit far from the city but really really cute!
