Eastbourne Beach

I guess this would have looked different earlier in the day, with the tide in and lots of people around, but at just after 5pm the section of the beach next to where we were sat enjoying the late afternoon sunshine was pretty empty - possibly due to the fact that a stream seemed to be running down the beach at this point!.

We had just spent a delightful morning with our granddaughter and her mum, and then a couple of hours in Eastbourne hospital visiting my Aunt. Not wanting to make the return journey to Swindon round the M25 in rush hour we decided on sitting on the beach before an evening meal locally and then the journey back ... worked well and was a good plan!
