Brotherly love

Another great summer hours afternoon - only one to go now.

Got up early so I could get all my work done and finished by lunch - and actually did it! An old work friend who I haven't seen in a few years came over for lunch with her two girls. Was great to catch up and I was a hit with the girls - walking across the park they both wanted to hold my hand which was very cute. Mustn't leave it so long until we catch up again.

My brother then headed over (going the strangest and longest way to get here) with my three nephews. Work had an open day complete with bouncy castles, trampolines, face painting and pugil sticks. The boys loved it and ran around doing everything as well as stuffing their faces with ice cream, sweets, lots of crisps and BBQ food. I raced my brother on an inflatable obstacle course covered in Velcro whilst wearing a Velcro suit. It was bloody hard work but a lot of fun. And I lost. And regretted the ice cream I'd just eaten. It was great to see so many people from work with their family and friends enjoying themselves - there were mums and dads, lots of kids of all ages, partners and friends. The fella had fun playing with my nephews and seems much more relaxed spending time with me around work people.

And now it's a bank holiday weekend - woop woop!
