Starry Eyed Surprise

Voices of the beehives

A constant buzz around the hives in Barry this morning. I couldn't get too close as Rocket and Radar are a bit jittery around bees and wasps.

I would love to try beekeeping. I think Carnoustie would be the right sort of community to have a bee hive project. It's not as if we have too many honeybees.

Great walk today with the dogs, ended up spending two and a half hours out on a our walk this morning. As it was so warm, we stopped off at the ponds on the golf course so the girls could have a swim to cool off.

Then we crossed the railway track at Barry and bought some patty pan squashes that are sometimes for sale at one of the small holdings. Huge! I tell you, so I bought 4 for 40p.

A walk through Shanwell Wood on the way home and Radar reappeared from the undergrowth covered in sticky willies. It's taken about 3 hours so far, to de-sticky her. There are still more to be removed....a work in progress on Velcro Dog.
