Baking day

Went to a sling meet this morning and met some other babywearing mums over coffee and cake. It was lovely and the small play area kept Euan, Rhona and the other accompanying 3 year olds occupied for long enough. Paid some cheques into the bank and did some unexpected Christmas shopping for the kids (sale stuff in ELC!) before heading home. Rhona refused to nap while we were out or in the car so went to bed for a couple of hours once we got home. I decided to bake some fairy cakes with Euan while she was in bed and Euan helped. He told me when the scales got to the correct number, he cracked the eggs open mainly onto the worksurface into a bowl and poured them into the mixture, he put the paper cases into the tin and then he spooned the mixture into them. He was so excited for them to be baked so he could ice them, so imagine his dissappointment when I realised I didn't have any icing sugar! Never mind, he tried one and announced they were "deelissuss". Phew!
