Elbi

A marvellous day off work, packed with culture and fun. First to Summerhall for an extraordinary piece of theatre, La Merda, incredibly intense and powerful. Still at Summerhall, I went downstairs to see the installation by Schneider, which I'm very glad I saw but which left me feeling rather uneasy. Then, for some light relief, I got a half-price ticket to see a comedian, Michael J Dolan, who wasn't great, before meeting Parky to see the charming, moving It's Dark Outside, and then some wonderful, wise and extremely funny comedy from Hannah Gadsby. Drinks and chat were had afterwards in the BBC beer garden beside Bristo Square - we didn't like this singer much (I've since discovered her name is Elbi) but she made for a nice blip. :-)
