He's getting ready for the weekend...

Rented a telephoto lens for the weekend and this is my first try with it.It's a Sigma 150-500. I'm feeling a little frazzled because I'm using a tripod for the first time, too. So... I missed a few shots of the heron in flight, but I am very happy with how much detail I can get from far away.

Now the only problem is that I may get too attached to it, and boy, are they expensive. I even paid extra for insurance just in case something happens to it in my weekend adventures. Don't want to wind up washing dishes in the Sigma cafeteria to pay for it!

The heron was pretty far away from me, so I think the lens was worth the rental. See if you agree.
