Yurt Day
One of my favorite days of the summer: Yurt Cleanup Day. I usually wait until a hot, hot day for the annual Yurt cleanup, 90-plus. Today was well below that, but I had to do it anyway. We built the Yurt 12 years ago, summer 2001, as an extra space. It's a great place, it really is, and we'll be using it more now. It's only about 100 feet from our house, and it's really cool. Anyway, on Yurt cleanup day, I get out the pressure washer and spray her down. The farm and country dust accumulates over the months, and it feels so good to have it clean. The favorite part of the ritual is the dome cleaning- it's like a look right straight into heaven.
Edited Note: My flickr page is not posting the photo sets, but I think it does post my entire photostream. So, I'll try posting the extra pictures again here.
