Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Nonno's Ristorante

Nonno's Ristorante (Nonno = grandfather)

Not sure that I'd call this a "grand" day -- it was the third day in a row of "back-to-school" meetings for the faculty. The meetings were not mandatory, but faculty must complete 24 hours of "in-service" training time before June.

The real "training" is convincing my butt to sit in a chair for 6 hours the past 3 days. So I've just accomplished 18 of the required 24 hours. Then when today's meetings ended mid-afternoon, I headed for home to find Mr. Fun had the 3 criminals buckled into the car and the five of us head for Murrieta so that I could attend another 3 hours of teacher meetings. Good grief, but 21 hours are now completed -- woohoo!

When the 3 hours in Murrieta were completed, Mr. Fun and the 3 criminals kidnapped me and we were off to another adventure -- an Italian Ristorante, Nonno's, with delicious food. They had found this yummy little place while waiting for my meeting to conclude. They also found a park where they could sniff, pee, and poo. They are easily entertained.

We arrived home in SoCal from the central coast this past Tuesday evening, and I headed for the campus Wednesday morning. The new semester begins Monday. I will head into the classroom on Tuesday. Why do I do this. I love the money. Oh yeah, the occasional terrific student is also an incentive and definitely a bonus.

Good night from Southern California.
