Organ Harvesting in China

A regular feature next to Star Ferry in Hong Kong is an anti-China protest associated with Falun Gong. As can be seen the headline is stop forced organ harvesting in China. Actually, organ harvesting and trafficking was made illegal in 2007 and has only just outlawed sale of organs from executed prisoners. The lady to the right was handing out free copies of the Epoch Times in Chinese or English.

I know this affected a family I knew who were planning to emigrate to Canada the father was a doctor and the hospital he worked had been blacklisted for organ harvesting by the Canadian government. Of course their application was declined.
