This week was the "ROSE OF TRALEE" Festival. Each Irish community
across the world sends their "Rose" who has won the title in their own country and has been sent to Tralee for the honour of becoming the Rose of Tralee. This is more than a beauty celebration. Personality and achievements count as much as looks in accordance with the old song - " T'was not her beauty alone that won me."
Since 1969 this has been staged in Tralee over a week of interviews and TV programmes. This year the Rose of Texas won the title - ROSE OF TRALEE.
