Jizoubon

Today is Jizoubon. Oh this day people visit neighbourhood shrines, light incense and pray. When children do this they are rewarded with a bag of sweets. Just like last year, Arthur received a bumper crop. Valerie was too busy with summer homework to go in the morning and in the afternoon she had to attend her track and field club.

I think Arthur and I were the first visitors, hence the single incense stick burning in the pot.
