Don't step backwards!

Took the ladies out for another drive today, this time to Otley. We had a short walk along the river and I was fascinated by these seagulls all lined up along the weir, seemingly oblivious of the force of the water behind them.

Maybe sometimes when we feel we're standing on the edge it is good just to turn our backs on the turmoil of life and concentrate on some calmer water.

We then had lunch in a local garden centre and a wander round the shops before a country drive home. I have a number of odd jobs to do for Mum this afternoon and then we'll have another game of cards this evening. This is the last day of this mini adventure, home tomorrow.
