Day 3 - Out Of The Way!!
When the alarm went off at 5.45 this morning I was so tired I could barely get out of bed. The coaches came to the door at 6.00 and I managed to drag myself out of bed. Today we had two games so I packed my bags for them. I had trouble getting my contact lenses in this morning. I had to throw away a couple and also have a few goes to get the in.
Our first game was against Moskovia who are a team from Russia. We mat our new player Rosie. She is only 9 and is very brave to come and play against loads of huge 13 year old Italian girls who have been playing softball all their lives.
After lunch (pasta) we went to the hotel and went swimming. We had a good time but couldn't stay for long as we had to go and play the London Cubs. They are the feeder team for Great Britain. They have trained with us all year and we know them very well.
I played Left Field but we were about half way through when I had to change. It was a particularly hot day today. Caitlin was playing Catcher (Backstop) and when you are catching you have to where lots of protective gear including a helmet so it is very hot. Half way through Caitlin had to come out because she was so hot and tired. I came in to Catcher. I really enjoyed it and I hope that I can catch in our game tomorrow.
This photo is of me batting against Moskovia. I am jumping out of the way of a ball.
