A lovely surprise

I had a surprise telephone call today from one of my Grandaughters to say I was to be ready for 2.30pm as my two daughters and my two eldest Grandaughters would be taking me to an Ice Cream and Cream Tea Rooms. How delightful, I scrubbed up well and put on my best bib and tucker ! ! ! It was a very pleasing journey to get there with plenty of banter from the Grandaughters on the back seat being in mind that the eldest Grandaughter now works in Manchester and does not get home very often so had plenty to report about.
We all had cream teas which was'nt just a scone with cream and jam as you can see, we enjoyed it very much but our tummies were too full to sample the Ice Cream so we bought some home with us, my choice was Honey and Ginger and another tub of Black Cherry which I shall enjoy in the coming weeks.
