Alt(ernative) gr(owling)

This was, by my calculation, entirely scientific obviously, the maddest day since I started this journal. I could spend an hour detailing all that happened. I think however for the benefit of not wasting one hour, the main bullet points should probably suffice.

Madame arrives at 3.30am after a night out with colleagues and doesn't make much noise, but I was awoken

Finally get back to sleep at 5:10am

Desperate attempts to contact colleague who was due to come to the house to do some collaborative work

Craziest day at work in years

Madame requires assistance as she is suffering from the night before

Take the number 1 son for his first afternoon at the nursery

Collect child #2 from a friends

Try to deal with minor emergencies at work

Head off for weekly shop with my head like a watermelon, whatever that means

Finish off dealing with work emergencies

Missed out so much but that was mainly it. Thank goodness I can get a long lie in tomorrow ....
