Mount Eagle

Showery this morning, took Juno round the farm tracks for an early morning walk.

As it was showery brided the family to do a forest walk that also involved a hill. I chose Mount Eagle in the Black Isle. At the start it has a huge communication mast that sways in the wind, amazing to watch as the different guy ropes tighten as the wind changes.

The name of this hill sets an expectations of a mount, this was a summit in a felled area of moorland. Great fun walking Eco gran climbing over the stumps and holes to get to the trig point, Juno just jumped around and had fun.

At the trig I found the correct path that made the descent dull by comparison.

Stopped off for some home baking and refreshments, a fun day had be all.

At night we saw this finger of red light piercing into the night sky, it was the Mount Eagle mast.
