"And They Called it Puppy Love"........!!!
Well today under orders from Mr Schorschi (fellow blipper), we had the most relaxing day ever. We didn't get up until well after 10.00am - had 3 cups of coffee in bed reading the local newspaper!!
I have never done that in the 7 years nearly, that we have lived here. Even Phoebe napped under our bed.
We had planned to walk to the next village (about 3 miles with amazing countryside) but the weather was not as promised, so we decided to watch the F1 qualifying which was most exciting. The weather had improved, so we took a ride out to Dunster, one of our favourite places, (blipped last month) and I let Mr A drive 'the beast'. Phoebe came too of course. We went to the Luttrell Arms, a superb hotel where we have had drinks before but never a meal. They have redone their back garden and it was superb. As you can see from the blip, Phoebe was not left out.
After that we wandered around our favourite shops, Dyer's Traits, selling amazing handbags, and of course the Dunster Castle Shop.
I drove back (well I did let him have a go!!), and because the wind was cold, enjoyed Pimms in the conservatory, listening to one of our favourite albums, An evening with John Petruccio and Jordan Rudess. For those of you who are not into very gifted modern rock musicians, they are the two leading members of Dream Theater, who we have supported for over 20 years. All of them are the very best in their progressive field and we have booked to see them live once again at Wembley in February as part of my birthday treat!! If you like the best in progressive rock music but with melody, then you'll like them. I suppose because I have sung jazz for years, I enjoy the complex music scores, but appreciate music is like art - we are all different.
Well I have rambled on long enough. Tomorrow Matthew is coming for an overnight stay and we will focus on him and his needs.
Thank you for dropping in, sorry if I have written too much. Good night, wishing you peace, good health and much joy, always.
