Evening glow

Strathhaven hold a three day balloon festival each year and this is the first year we have gone along, attracted by this evening's event which they called Evening Glow.

The baskets did not rise off the ground, but the spectacle was in seeing the fires which inflate the balloons glowing in the dark. It was a fantastic sight made more exciting with the addition of music - a Space Odyssey, Star Wars, Dambusters etc., almost, but not quite, like the fireworks display at the end of the Scottish Proms! A great evening none the less - and it was free - apart from the fairground attractions the wee ones wanted to try.
Will certainly go back next year.
