Watch out!

Today's short trip into the city made me realise that I hadn't quite recovered from events earlier in the week.

However, decided to get a new watch battery while I was in the vicinity of Edinburgh's West End. Having received an estimate of £18.95 from a chancer further down the street, I was offered a seat (which I needed to recover from the shock) at a proper jewellers not 30 yards away, where the fitting of battery to same watch was only £10. A lesson to be learned there.

It was the sort of place where the assistants were pleasant, courteous and passed the time of day. Faith in the human race was restored.
