Somerset Cider

Bill decided to try some of the Somerset Cider from Sheppy's tonight. This was cider farm near Taunton that we visited on holiday. The Sheppy family still continues the ancient combination of farming with cider-making. Modern technology helps with some of the hard work, but the underlying compatibility of the enterprises; beef, sheep, arable, orchards and cider-making remains; dove-tailing neatly over the seasons, maximising sustainability and minimising waste. Great place to visit, lovely lunch, nice walks, great museum and cider tasting.
