Tidepool

J left this morning for three days on the East Coast, so R and I took P, M and J for a lightning tour of Santa Cruz.

Over to Natural Bridges beach for tidepooling, which, at low tide is almost as good as the aquarium, with the added excitement of being soaked by the odd rogue wave and having to scramble up and down impossible-looking mini-cliffs. A drive along West Cliff Drive to the Surfers Museum, then out on the wharf to see the sea lions, a detour to downtown Santa Cruz and back home along East Cliff Drive for dinner at my favourite grown-up restaurant.
