As a quick tagsearch will reveal, Mark used to look slightly ill-at-ease, cowed and beaten and not just because the previous picture of him was taken at the end of a dull two-hour departmental jargon-wafting session. Now, with a beard, he appears keen and confident, happy and relaxed. Such are the powers of the beard. Hopefully TFP's two-week combined holiday and beard-growing break will see him return to work on Monday similarly-bearded. Hopefully the thricely-increased peer pressure on our non-bkipping-yet-but-not-for-want-of-nagging colleague Mr Livvo will shortly persuade him to follow.
