Pentland Hills Regional Park

Not wanting to miss another glorious day of sunshine I decided to head to the Pentland Hills Regional Park today. I have never been before so had to dig out my map just to make sure exactly how to get there through Bonaly.

I headed up the nearest track which was signposted Torduff Water walk and soon found myself huffing and puffing up the hill. I always forget how unfit I am until times like this. The track seemed to be heading more inland away from the view of the city so I cut over to admire the view and have a rest. The view was worth the climb!

I then took my own shortcut back down the hill sliding part of it and realising I had left part of my bag unzipped and my camera and a couple of items where no longer where I had put them. Luckily I didn't have to re-trace my steps too far to find them.

Once back down the hill I wandered over in the direction of one of the reservoirs I had spotted from above which is called Torduff reservoir. I then took the more leisurely pace along the road round by Bonaly Tower and back to the car park. It wasn't a long walk but enough for me today!
