Quietly perfect
Not the best picture. But its not all about the pictures.
We had contemplated going away this weekend. My last weekend of holiday at the end of maternity leave. Instead we decided to have a bit of a staycation. A few treats and doing some of the things we haven't had time or cash to do over the past few months.
We started with a trip to Fenwicks toy department. We didn't go crazy, but we get TWW a few things, all of which he seems to like...bonus.
Then on to Wagamamas for lunch. I wasn't sure if he would enjoy the food as much as we do. But he did. Bean sprouts were devoured. As were noodles. He loved my teriyaki salmon and Ad's chicken and rice. He wasn't keen on Ad's Katsu Curry, but maybe that is a bit of a complex taste for a 9 month old. As well as leaning over and taking noodles straight off my plate he also got to grips with being fed by chopstix. Sounds silly but I was grinning like a loon and feeling very proud.
We then went to the pub, met up with some friends and had a very nice chilled few hours there. I took one for the team and drove. I don't want to have done too much damage at fat fighters on Monday...but I did almost crumble when homemade pork scratchings came to the table. I was very tempted.
This is a back blip and I think TWW was exhausted by all the excitement, it took a while for him to chill down and go to sleep - but after that he slept from about 8pm last night to 9.50am this morning. Another bonus. Good job, my boy.
