To Bee Or Not To Bee
A takeaway Costa, Happy Meals for the kids, lunch with the usual suspects and a little time at the park were the activities that made up the first part of Sunday.
Always fun.
The little guy in the picture was in trouble today. A grounded bee is always a dilemma since you can't pick it up and stroke its fur!
My bro-in-law made up a mixture of sugar dissolved in water in an effort to help.
Apparently, there are quite a few practical things we can do to help bees!
The sugar solution was laid out near the bee and we all carried on eating lunch.
I'm still unsure where he's ended up. He may have crawled deeper into the garden and died or he might have eaten the sugar, recovered and flew off. Perhaps he even ate the sugar but didn't recover.
Either way, the right amount of help was provided.
And so it is in our interaction with others and the day to day difficulties and challenges they face.
We can offer help and support where possible - Either practically, emotionally or spiritually - But it's seldom our job to fix.
The response, choice or reaction to the sugar solution is what gives power to the fixing.
