I've never been here before...

...but it's only 2 miles from where I live.

I'd imagined it would be different. I thought the road was a dead end, I never knew the railway was there, and there is a burial ground round the corner.
Now I see it on a map it all makes sense (that's why I love maps).

I approached it cautiously as I had no prior experiencde with which to compare it to.

The only source of knowledge is experience.
