Only at festival time

Out washing the charabanc and this rather battered transit appeared. Out of the back came a guy with a tall unicycle and a whole host of props for presumably a kids show, although you never know at this time of year.

Earlier a trip to see Percy Jackson and the Sea Of Monsters which was probably on a par with the first film. Obviously took a while to get made and the 'kids' are ageing rapidly; Timothy Dalton has managed to change into the guy from the gold blend adverts/the prof from Buffy and no one comments...Not many films that you can take a 12 year old girl to though, and Floss loved the books. Trailers were all for animations that she just won't go to anymore.

Other parts of growing up; hard to know who is the adult in discussions with my mother who Floss said no to about something on Friday. Stress about other things meant some things got said that shouldn't and can't be taken back and they are both a bit raw; but one is 12 and I find myself having to take her side even while trying to act peacemaker. It's not her fault she's not a little girl anymore or that she's having to cope with the transition to high school while still getting used to shared care. If this is as bad as it gets, we'll not have done too bad.

And of course, apparently I know all about booking flights to LA online, so will be booking flights for the parents to go see the grandson tomorrow. Travel agents? Putting the details into Skyscanner yourself? Beyond some people.

And breathe. I may have to practice being awesome tonight. It put up WhiskyFoxtrots sign on my door.
