Birthday Flowers

Fast on the appearance of yesterday's Morning Glory, the Sunflower buds are beginning to release their splendid flowers.

I'll probably show a few more when they come out.

The sunflowers don't seem as delayed as the morning glories. My first sunflower picture last year was "Sunday 19 August 2012: Facing into the Sun", a couple of days later, even.

Today is our daughter's birthday, so the sunflower is here to send her good wishes. We hope that she has many more years to enjoy the annual appearance of the familiar but lovely flowers.
